| 摘 要： | 简述了人类建筑高度发展的历史过程。通过对建筑高度发展的研讨，阐述了古代建筑高度记录的保持者，主要是服务于王权的高大建筑；中世纪是寄托着人们信仰的宗教塔楼；而现代则是以经济利益为主导的实用型高层建筑。同时还指出，历史上建筑高度竞争的领先地域，古代是埃及，中世纪和工业革命时期是欧洲，而在近现代高层建筑出现之后则转向了美国，到21世纪，高层建筑的竞争热点将会在亚洲。
