| Abstract: | The design and construction of fold and directional blastings for demolition of an office building and water tower in the Second Cogging mill of Anshan Steel and Iron Corp. are expounded. The office building is firstly blasted in order to create a space and buffer layer for water tower collapse. In addition, the selection of blasting parameters, the determination of blasting cut size, safety precautions and the others are introduced, and some experience from the design and construction of demolition blasting are given. |
