摘    要:在塔式子带分解中,一幅图像分解为一系列尺度、方向、空间局部化的子带.相同方向的子带之间存在相似性,我们利用这种相似性设计了一种图像编码方案一子图扩充快预测.为了预测子图I中的块,我们把同一方向较低分辨率的子图扩充成为一幅新的图像I,I与I具有相同的象素点数.对于子图I中的块γv今γi为I中位置相同的块,我们用γi预测γl。从而,避免了块的搜索,编码和解码时间大大减少,编码和解码过程非常简单。文章中给出了令人满意的实验结果.

Abstract:In a pyramid subband decomposition, an image is decom posed into a set of subbands thatare localized in scale, orientation, and space. There is similarity between subbands with the same orientatin, so wedevise an image coding scheme-Block Prediction by Extending Multiresolution Subimages, in which the similarityis exploited. To predict blocks in one subimage I, we extend the lower resolution subimage with the sameorientation into a new image I, the number of pixels of which is equal to that of I. For one block r in thesubimage I, Let r be one block in I such that the location of r in I is the same as that of ri in I, We use rito predict ri so that, no search is made, time of coding and decoding is reduced largely in addition, both thecoding procedure and the decoding procedure are very simple. In this paper we present some satisfastpry resultsof experiments.
