Study on Physical&Mechanical Properties of Accumulation Landslide and Contact Surface in Huanggang Area,Eastern Hubei Province

The main geological disaster in Huanggang,eastern Hubei Province is the accumulation landslide.This kind of landslide has complicated causes and is significantly heterogeneous.Therefore it is associated with various contact interfaces,involving the earth-rock contact surface between the accumulation deposit and bedrock,as well as the earth-earth contact surface among deposits of various causes.It is subjected to affect the safety of the landslide along these interfaces under the condition of heavy rainfall.In this study,3 typical accumulation landslides were selected to analyze the origins and structural characteristics of the accumulation deposit and geological interfaces,based on summarizing and analyzing the survey data.Then the physical properties of the specimens from the 3 landslides were tested to study the meso-structural and physical properties.Direct shear tests were carried out on the accumulation deposits and the contact interfaces(zone)respectively,thus the relationship between the shear strength parameters and water content of the accumulation deposits and the contact interfaces were studied.In a word,this paper elaborates and analyzes the test results from the three aspects of the structural characteristics,physical characteristics and shear mechanics characteristics of the accumulation deposit,which has certain reference value for the study of the evolution process and stability of the accumulation landslides in eastern Hubei Province.
