Performance of a new latex cement slurry

This paper evaluates the performance of latex cement slurry system from the respects of fluid loss,thickening time,cementing strength,stability,rheological property,gas breakthrough prevention capability and elasticity.Formula debugging experiment is carried out.We have synthetized a set of latex cement slurry system of gas channeling prevention through plenty of laboratory experiments.Experimental results show that the latex cement has a good elasticity,capability of good anti-tensile,anti-flexural and impact resistance,excellent corrosion resistance,good cementing interface of cement sheath,compared with ordinary oil well cement.The addition of latex improves the impact resistance and elasticity of set cement and the fluid loss property of cement slurry is well after combination.Latex cement system is of good plasticity and excellent interface cementing property.Prominent performance and gas channeling prevention capability of latex cement slurry system can meet the cement slurry system with low fluid loss and high dispersion cementing in the cementing of slim-hole well,lateral well and branched well,which is helpful for the improvement of impact resistance capability of cement sheath.
