Application of horizontal well in potential tapping of remaining oil at bottom of thick reservoir with strong waterflooding

Suizhong 36-1 Oilfield is a large heavy oil oilfield with drape anticline deposited in lake facies delta of Lower Dongying Formation.The oilfield has gone into high water cut stage of development at present.How to use horizontal well to exploit the remaining oil at the top of thick oil layer and to enhance the production rate is a challenge of current oilfield development.Through the establishment of reservoir model and the research of remaining oil distribution,based on the use of multiple segment well technology and VFP technology,we study the feasibility of horizontal well.Through the application of site,we found that deployment of horizontal wells using the above method can not only greatly increase productivity,but also control the rising of single well water cut,which attains the destination of improving the effect of oilfield development and enhancing the oil production rate.
