| Abstract: | A new procedure for determining the position of ethylenic linkages in lipids involves oxidation of the corresponding epoxides
with ethereal periodic acid. The oxidation products are identified by standard techniques such as nuclear magnetic resonance
spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and gas liquid chromatography. |
