图式理论与大学英语阅读教学

图式论认为,任何语言材料,无论是口头的还是书面的,本身无意义,它只指导听者或读者如何根据自己原有的知识,恢复或构成意思.英语阅读教学不仅包括语言图式教学,而且包括内容图式教学.因此,针对大学英语阅读目前所存在的现象,在大力加强英语阅读语言教学的同时,更要加强英语阅读内容背景知识教学,以便提高大学英语阅读教学质量.

Schema Theory and College English Reading Teaching

Schema theory has it that any language may have its meaning just when it is organized and responded by its reader or listener with his schemata,as either oral or written language contains no meaning itself.The teaching of English reading is composed not only of the language schemata but also of content schemata.Therefore,the backgrounds of the English reading should be more strengthened while the language schemata is emphasized in English reading at college so that the teaching quality can be more promoted.
