Abstract:Contour integration of physical optics (P.O.) and the method of equivalent current(MEC) are used to compute and analyze the monostatic RCS and high-frequency electromgnetic scattering characteristics of coated rectangular metal plate. Both principal plane and non-principal plane are considered. For the method of equivalent current, a diffraction coefficient of impedance wedge is introduced and parallel strip models are emploved to solve the diffraction problems of non-principal plane. A good agreement is obtained between these two methods. and the results demonstrate the correctness of the methods.
