Abstract: | Summary The problem of a laminar thin-film flow along a vertical wall is examined here. Using a fourth-degree polynomial velocity profile function inside the boundary layer, the momentum integral equation is solved analytically to determine the boundary layer thickness and the corresponding film-thickness. |
