| Abstract: | Iso-octyl-2-methyl-4-chlorphenoxyacetate was prepared from 2-methyl-4-chlorphenoxyacetic acid by acidchloration and esterification in a reactor. The yield was higher than 95%. The technique of removing acid gas in vacumn was used during esterification. The process was simple. The yield was high. The cost was a little and the waste was less. |
