| Abstract: | Predicting the cutting force plays a crucial part not only in choosing the cutting conditions and tool geometry,but also in monitoring the tool wearing.Based on an overview of different approaches for predicting the cutting force,the advantages and disadvantages of each type method are discussed.Consequently,this is a preparation for further theoretical investigations into machining. |
