Abstract: | A model for calculating the concentration polarization profile in cross-flow microfiltration in a plate-and-frame module is developed for cases where the diffusivity depends on the shear rate of the medium. This model can be used to analyze the effect of the hydrodynamic conditions, concentration, and geometric characteristics on the concentration polarization. The solution proposed is a submodel that can be used to develop a systems methodology for calculating ultra-and microfiltration processes. The concentration profiles are calculated. |
