Abstract: | Conclusion The use of anchors into a rock foundation of a structure made it possible to shorten the construction time of the structures and reduce their cost; to reduce the size of the excavation, which is quite important when roads and engineering pipelines are nearby; and to provide stability of the structures under conditions where it is difficult or impossible to solve this problem by the traditional method due to the weight of the structure or soil.Under appropriate soil conditions with consideration of the possibilities of construction it is necessary, in our opinion, when examining structures to be used to examine also structures whose stability is assured by the use of anchors.Translated from Gidrotekhnicheskoe Stroitel'stvo, No. 7, pp. 7–10, July, 1979. |
