Diffusion du fluide interstitiel dans un sol fin

The diffusivity of water in fine soil is important as it determines the evolution of pore pressure, and in Civil Engineering problems, the time of settlement and the conditions of earth stability. In this paper, we show the importance of pore fluid compressibility on the diffusivity process. Using the ?dometer test with continuous and cyclic loading and following a solution of the consolidation equation expressed from limit conditions variable in terms of time, a method is developed on silt material to determine the compressibility of pore fluid.
