Heat transfer, aerodynamic resistance, and volume-mass characteristics of staggered tube banks with helical roll-in fins

Abstract:Results of investigations of heat transfer and aerodynamic resistance of sections formed from bimetallic tubes with rolled-in helical aluminum fins are presented for the following air coolers: transverse-tiers of a bank, and staggered six-tier banks; and the dependence of the average coefficient of convective heat transfer of a bank on the specific power consumed in air movement.
