| Abstract: | To build a sustainable and livable city,urban managers in China need to think the urban problems more carefully and some successful experience in urban constructions from western developed countries are valuable for Chinese officials and designers.This paper makes a study of the High Line,the most important urban renewal project in New York in recent years.It analyzes the park history,design strategy and landscape construction and summaries the park development model,which inspires the Chinese urban managers and landscape architects to rethink their work and explores new development model to guide the future urban renewal projects. |
