Abstract: | A study is made of the connection between the fracture toughness of shock-resistant polymeric composites based on polycarbonate,
polybutyleneterephthalate, and an ABS-copolymer and parameters characterizing mechanical and electrical relaxation in the
region of local molecular mobility. A method is proposed for determining shock characteristicsa priori on the basis of the temperature-frequency dependences of the elastic modulus and mechanical loss modulus. The difference
between the theoretical and experimental values of fracture toughness, measured within a broad range of temperatures, is no
greater than 10–15%.
