Discussion on Maintenance of GSB-L1 Vertical High-speed Pump Based on Reliability

Vertical high speed pumps are widely used in chemical production.The mechanical seal and gearbox of GSB-L1 vertical high speed pumps applied in a chemical plant have failed many times.By analyzing heat generation of the sealing friction pair,it is proposed that the seal failure is caused by higher temperature of the seal flushing medium or the change in the pumping volume.The solution to the modification of the seal was proposed,the cause of the failure of the gearbox was analyzed and the maintenance recommendations based on reliability were proposed.
