Abstract: | The aim of the present research was to test a mathematical model of coal devolatilization. Verification of the thermal conductivity, specific heat capacity and endothermic heat of pyrolysis was carried out by measurement of the coal particle temperature at the outer surface and in the center of the particle. The model, with recommended thermal and transport data, was then tested on the basis of gaseous products generation rates and total mass loss during experiments with coal granules of size 4-20 mm and coal grains 0.08-5 mm dropped into a hot fluidized bed. |
