Organische Korrosionsinhibitoren - Wirkungsmechanismen und Charakteristik -
Authors:Manfred H. Akstinat
Abstract:Organic corrosion inhibitors– Action mechanisms and characteristics In this detailed synopsis, the author deals mainly with the action mechanism of corrosion inhibitors in acids. The inhibitors – aliphatic or alicyclic systems – can be divided into six groups, characterized by the presence of: bivalent sulphur, oxygen, trivalent nitrogen, trivalent phosphor, greatly unsaturated centres, or combinations of these factors. In this connection, the author also discusses the parts played by pairs of loosely bound electrons, and by the steric conditions. A distinction is made between four mobile and seven stable adsorption mechanisms. Also discussed are those factors which, though independent of the inhibitor, have an influence on the action mechanism, the type of acid (especially mordant), hydrogen ion concentration, and temperature.
