| Abstract: | A method is proposed for growing large  -Sn single crystals without their disintegration as a result of the   phase transition. -Sn crystals are prepared by freezing the closed system water–Sn–seed in such a way that the pressure exerted by the expanding ice minimizes the amount of -Sn nuclei and reduces the growth rate. |
