| 摘 要： | 随着计算机技术的飞速发展，数据压缩技术作为解决海量信息存储和传输的支撑技术受到了人们的极大重视，并在语音处理、数字图像处理、数据存储以及数字通讯等方面都起着举足轻重的作用。数据压缩技术的各种压缩方法，都是为了提高压缩比，设法去掉部分或全部冗余，从而减少数据所占的存储空间并保证在数据还原时恢复原状。文章较详细地论述了如何将地震勘探所采集到的浩瀚数据资源(即地理信息系统)转换成直观图像(即可视化)后再进行压缩的基本方法，并且对压缩图像的基本数学模型和算法进行了探讨。数据压缩技术在地理信息系统的可视化研究中的应用显得尤为重要。 |

| Abstract: | This paper describes in detail the approaches that the vast seismic exploration data be transmited into visual images, then be compressed, discusses the basic mathematics model and algorithm of the image compression, finally points out the importance of data compression technology in the research of the visuality of geography information. |
