Application of riprapping in embankment project of Lhasa River

Riprapping is a common project measure in embankment blanket. It has many advantages: it can use local materials and carry construction in water with good effect but lower cost. Combined with the case study of the riprap blanket of Lhasa River flood control project of urban reach, the paper summarizes the design and construction of riprapping. The riprapping has been successfully applied to the embankment improvement of urban reach of Lhasa River.
