| Abstract: | Casting practice of low Mn/Si raio peritectic steel with higher speed in a medium thick slab caster is introduced. The key issue in the operation during casting was the large fluctuation of the meniscus level in the mold. Causes of the problem were analyzed from theoretical and practical aspects. Countermeasures were put forward to solve the problem and good results were obtained. |
