Abstract: | An apparatus is described for measuring the viscosity of glass in the range 6.5 to 13,000 poises. About 15 minutes per point are required to establish a viscosity-versus-temperature curve. About 75 gm. of glass are required for a determination. Precision is good, repair is simple, and maintenance is low. The apparatus is suitable for either research or control purposes. |
