| Abstract: | The fitting of apparel fabric to the human body is one of the most important techniques for pattern dsigning automation in garment CAD and a base for the mutual transformation of 2D and 3D in apparel design. This article analyzes the causes for deformation in superimposing the fabric to curved surface and describes a remedy to the deformation, i.e. dart inserting,with a presentation of corresponding fabric and dart models, as well as calculation for removing the deformation. |
