Development of advanced plasma welding technology: outline of the project

A new method of determination of the stress concentration factor in welded joints based on the video extensometer as the measuring element is presented. The results of investigations aimed at the determination of initial conditions for measurement of distortions with the use of video extensometer are given and the main issues connected with the use of video camera are discussed. The preliminary results of measurements of distortions making use of the tested device are also presented.
