Abstract: | 120 students in an introductory psychology course rated 6 psychology specialties in terms of members' prestige and personality. All the specialties were perceived as having high status. However, clinicians and counselors were viewed more favorably than physiological, experimental, social, and developmental psychologists. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved) |
