Development of Domestic Production of Specialty Weld Pipes

Briefed in the essay are the concept of the specialty weld pipe and the development trend of such product. Introduced are the current development situation and trend of production of weld oil pipes like linepipe, OCTG pipes,coiled tubing and coiled linepipe in the world. With reference of the technological characteristics of the products as made by a certain U.S. company like weld OCTG pipes and linepipes,the gap in production and development of weld OCTG products between China and relevant advanced countries are analyzed. It is concluded that since the domestic production of the specialty weld pipe just started not long before,there exists a rather big gap with the international advanced level in this field,and therefore,it is necessary to realize the serialized and standardized production of the specialty weld pipes as per the market demand in a possible shortest time frame- work,and to fully take the advantages of the weld pipes,and try to produce high-end products of such kind.
