基于颜色中值切割的图像索引

无论从用户使用的角度还是从计算机实现的角度来讲,管理日益膨胀的图像数据都是一项极具挑战性的工作。尽管人们已经在一些基础研究如图像内容表示、相似性度量和智能检索等方面取得了一定的进展,但在图像数据库的快速检索,交互浏览和系统使用性等方面,仍然有许多研究工作等待人们开展。文中提出了一种简单直观的图像索引机制。这种方法把自然景物图像数据库分成易于描述的不同视觉主题,并籍此来进行高效的图像检索。文中还给出了实验结果。

Image Indexing Based on Median Color Cut

Managing the ever rapidly increasing image data is a very challenging task,which can be roughly divided into user side and computer side issues. This paper presents a framework for easy and intuitive image database browsing. It uses natural scene statistics to divide the database into easily describable visual themes,which in turn render extremely efficient indexing. Computer simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
