Abstract:An improved magnetic integrated high-gain cascaded Boost converter with switched-inductor units is proposed, which replaces the energy storage inductor in the traditional cascaded Boost converter by the switched-inductor unit and perform the coupling integration with the inductor. The voltage gain of the novel converter is improved (1+D)2/(1-D) times higher than that of the traditional Boost converter and (1+D)2 times higher than that of the traditional cascaded Boost converter. In addition, the inductor current ripple is reduced to less than 15% of the traditional cascaded Boost converter. Through the analysis of the working principle for the converter and the derivation of expressions of voltage gain and equivalent inductance, the integrated scheme for the coupling inductor is designed. Moreover, the integrated scheme was verified by simulation and experimental results, which fully shows that the improved cascaded Boost conver-ter has better performance.
