Research and application of automatic control strategy for feed water system of 200 MW unit

Two feed water pumps of a 200 MW thermal power unit are both hydraulic coupler control mode. According to the requirements of power plant technological transformation, one feed water pump is changed into frequency conversion regulation mode. In order to solve the problem of the operation switching modes of feed water pump during unit operation and meet the requirements of automatic control, the sectional function relations between the opening degree and the rotating speed of the hydraulic coupler of the feed water pump were obtained by the site data collection and analysis of the relevant data, as well as the opening degree and the rotating speed of the frequency converter of the feed water pump. The automatic control strategy of feed water pump was designed and applied in practical engineering successfully based on the functional relationship. The control strategy provided re-ference for the frequency conversion transformation of the similar configuration of the feed water pump.
