在林茨内城的东部正在实施一个全新的住宅发展计划。项目按照国家补贴住房的条件进行开发,密度要尽可能地高。但尽管有这样的高密度以及对大量停车位的需求,设计中依然有可能保留50%的地面面积作景观之用。达到这一点主要是依靠合理的住宅布局,同时在建筑下面提供自然通风的车行路线和车库。此项目由两个不同的住宅条带组成,它们共同俯瞰着一片田野中的开敞空间。

HOLZSTRASSE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT, LINZ, AUSTRIA, 1999

A new housing development was to be erected on the easter edge of the inner city of Linz. The development was to comply with the conditions for publicly assisted housing and have as high a density as possible. In spite of the great volume required by the brief and the requirements for parking places, it was still possible to preserve 50per cent of the site area for landscaping. This was achieved through a clear distribution of the building volumes and the provision of naturally ventilated vehicular routes and garages beneath the buildings. The development comprises two restrained, varied strips of dwellings that overlook an open space in the nature of a village green.
