| Abstract: | A digital filtering method using fast Fourier transform (FFT) is given to eliminate the noise disturbance from dip logs in frequency domain. With the above metioned method dip logs obtained from 3 wells are processed using low pass filter. Case histories indicate that the noise disturbance in dip log can be eliminated appreciably, only leaving the true information, thus, solving a practical problem in the application of noise disturbed HDT log which was considered unusable before. This method is also applicable to other logs. |
