| Abstract: | The drumgear coupling used in No. 2 rolling mill at SISG usually failed with the coupling bolts or teeth broken, and the hole wall deformed, which led to the failure of the coupling. Based on mechanical analysis and strength testing of the coupling, the causes of the failure were found out, and precautions taken to prevent it. |
