PET Beer Bottles Expect Boom

As a new safe package of beer,PET has been the focus of brewers.But in China,people has not been used it in factory because of the cost, machinery etc.In PET packaging,barrier properties necessary for increased shelf-life can be improved through coatings,passive polymer barrier layers, and active barriers of additives that absorb oxygen.For carbonated beverages, particularly in small bottles that have a larger surface area to volume ratio, passive barrier technology improves carbon dioxide retention.While passive barriers slow oxygen ingress,oxygen absorbing additives can be used to actively remove oxygen that remains in the package headspace after filling or emtering through the package closure or walls.Applications such as juice and beer packaging use these active barriers.Multilayer solutions incorporate a barrier resin layer and possibly a layer containing oxygen absorbers.Monolayer solutions include nylon and/or oxygen absorbers melt blended with PET.A variety of solutions will continue to be used because of the desire to tailor barrier properties to different application requirements,agree most industry experts.
