| Abstract: | The problems of surface hardening of high-carbon steels by alloying using laser radiation are considered. The effect of the laser treatment parameters on the thickness, the structure, the phase composition, the microhardness, and the residual stresses of the surface layer is studied, and the influence of alloying elements on the strength of the surface layer in carbon steels and their wear resistance is investigated. |
