A Voltage Stability Control Strategy Based on Model Predictive Current Compensation

Abstract:In electric propulsion system, the input impedance of the drive system did not match the output impedance of LC with the increase of the power of the PMSM, which would cause the DC-link voltage oscillation and system instability. Thus, a model predictive current compensation stability control strategy was proposed. At the same time, the input impedance and output impedance of the system were derived. And Middlebrook stability criterion was used to analyze the stability of the system. Finally, the method was compared with the PI stability control strategy based on reference current. The model predictive current controller has better dynamic and static performance due to its faster transient response. Simulation results verify that the method is effective and has better performance than PI control.
