Modification of slide motion in a crank-slide mechanism by introducing an eccentric gear system

In a crank-slide mechanism, the possibility of modifying the slide motion by using an eccentric gear system as the crank is considered. In this system, the axis of the driving gear is shifted relative to the axis of the driveshaft. This mechanism permits the summation of two harmonics: one corresponds to the frequency of rotation of the bearing’s system of satellites (links), and the other to the frequency of the driveshaft. An analytical expression describing the motion of the slide is obtained.
