This paper introduces the 500 kV high voltage transmission line lightning fault trip,analyze the causes from fault point devices,geogrophy and weather,considers that highlights the failure tower terrain,the weather line with the occurrence of lightning the main factors are leading to failure,lightning protection equipment,proposes the measures to strengthen the transformation,management to improve the equipment,and suggests transmission line lightning protection work.
