Study on Combination Forming of Liquid Forging and Following Extrusion and Rolling of Ceramic Particulate Reinforced Aluminium Alloy Plate
Abstract:The mixing mechanism and uniformness of ceramic particulates and liquid state Al alloy or Al alloy powder has been investigated in this project.Experimental results show that the practicability of stirring mixing method is very strong,but the uniformness of mixing is not good.However,for in-situ reaction method and powder mixing method the uniform composite slurry and powder preform can be obtained.The experimental devices for the liquid forging and following extrusion and the semi-solid extrusion were independently designed,and the extrusion forming of various kinds of mixtures was investigated,which reveals the nature of the liquid forging and following extrusion and the semi-solid extrusion.Through the rolling experiments,the influencing regularity of the rolling starting temperature and the rolling reduction on the microstructure and the mechanical properties has been obtained.The sillimanite particles and 2024 Al were mixed by the stirring mixing method,and the connection bar and the half-bearing were produced by the method of the semi-solid extrusion or the liquid forging using sillimanite particles/2024 Al composites as the replacement of Sn-Cu alloy.Through practical application,the sillimanite particles/2024 Al composites possesses the satisfactory properties of denoising,damping and antifriction.
