Abstract:The electric circuit course is an important specialized basic course for electrical and information or even more disciplines. It has long history and most of its contents are mature. But with the rapid development of electronic and information technology, the course still needs updates and reformation. In this paper, the authors try to find the reformation direction for the course by reviewing the development procedure of the circuit theory, evolving of the electric circuit course in China, surveying the latest developments in the world, and comparing the electric circuit courses from China and USA.
