以太城域网技术及其性能优化

摘    要:千兆以太网发展起来以后,由于它具有简单、灵活、成本低廉、可扩展性强、与IP技术有天然的适应性等特点,广泛应用于城域网领域。本文首先讨论了以太城域网核心技术、IP组播技术及其在多媒体中的应用,然后介绍了优化网络性能的方法,以满足服务质量(QoS)要求,这些方法允许应用程序向路由器通知它们的载入和延迟要求,让路由器同它们以及策略服务器一起共享QoS信息。

Abstract:Gigabit Ethernet, which has been developed with features as simplicity, low-cost, high expandability and natural adaptability with IP technology, has been widely applied in MAN. Firstly, this paper discusses MAN key technology, IP multicast, which can minimize bandwidth utilization in multimedia application, then describes some methods to optimize network in order to meet QoS requirements. These methods permit the applications to inform the router the demand of their loading and delaying, which make it possible for the router to share QoS information with strategic server together.
