Implementation and Development of Plant Integrated Maintenance System for CIMS Enterprises

With the competition in manufacturing industry, the Plant Integrated Maintenance System(PIMS) is playing an extremely important role for manufacturing enterprises in some aspects such as decreasing costs, increasing benefits, holding competitiveness advantage, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This paper, combining with the implementation and development of CIMS/PIMS for Tianjin Steel-Pipe Corporation, proposes the total solution of PIMS for CIMS enterprises and illustrates in details the needs analysis, network architecture, three-level data structure model and the way of realization of PIMS. It also conducts the analysis of benefits for implementation of PIMS.
