Optimal governor control of a synchronous machine |

| Abstract: | This paper considers a fairly accurate synchronous machine model useful for digital computation of transient and dynamic behavior of power systems. A linear optimal governor controller is designed to stabilize a controllable power system. The controller requires neither a state estimator nor an observer for its implementation. |
