Research on the Application of the Scaffolding Instruction Model of College German Vocabulary based on Corpus

With the rapid development of information technology, corpus linguistics has inaugurated a new avenue for instruction of foreign language vocabulary. Based on a large number of real texts, the corpus not only enriches the language input, but also allows students to immerse themselves in a large number of real language environments, which makes them master the semantical, pragmatical, and cultural meanings, and lays a foundation for the diversified output. With the method of the scaffolding instruction, a corpus-based teaching model of college German vocabulary is established, in which students play a major role and teachers play a leading one. The teaching experiment indicates that the scaffolding instruction model can significantly improve students^, output ability of German vocabulary.
