Abstract:3D printing includes processes such as modeling, layered slicing, path planning, and printing. The core of 3D model data processing technology in 3D printing-slicing and path planning is reviewed. It introduces the model slice processing method for different formats of single material in 3D printing slicing software. It clarifies the slicing algorithm under the influence of different process parameters in 3D printing, including various layered slicing algorithms and scanning filling algorithms. This paper illustrates the advantages and disadvantages of each algorithm, and the comparative analysis and evaluation of the existing single-phase homogeneous model slicing algorithms. The shortcomings of the model slice processing algorithm are summarized, the improvement direction is proposed, and the entry point for future research on data processing of multi-material 3D printing models is discussed.
