Cities for People: The Main Theme and Issues of the 8th APSA Conference

Although forms of the challenge to cities and urban planning might be different, a lot of concerns are similar in many Asian countries. To deal with those issues effectively, there is the need for both internationally collaborative and interdisciplinary approach. To re-examine and share diverse experiences in planning can encourage exchanging views on the planning profession and education under the tide of globalisation, and provide more exposure of the current thinking and research on 'cities for people' to planners and all concerned.
