| Abstract: | The rolling of ribbed-strips is analysed in the paper using the slightly compressible rigid-viscoplastic finite element method. The energy functional and the rigid-plastic finite element equations for the ribbed-strip rolling process are derived. The simulation results are compared with those obtained by experiments and found to be in good agreement with the latter. |
